We apologize for a week of intermittent irrigation availability. This was not a planned maintenance event, but rather, a week of trouble-shooting a problem that was difficult to diagnose. After multiple temporary fixes, the motor for pump #1 failed on Friday.
In order to get irrigation up and running as soon as possible, our vendor will be swapping in a motor from a secondary pump on Monday morning (7/31) while we wait for a new motor to be ordered and installed.
As background, our community has three pump and motor units that comprise our irrigation system. Because it is aging, over the past couple of years, the CDD Board has been proactively replacing and refurbishing the motors, turbines, electronics and pipe system to increase its reliability. One turbine is currently being rebuilt and is out of service.
Whenever possible, we post irrigation updates and other news at www.watersedgecdd.org. We are also purchasing an app that will allow residents to sign up for alerts from the CDD. We look forward to this improved ability to communicate with our community in a timely manner. Sign up information will be included in the mailing about the upcoming Budget Hearing on Aug 24 at 3:30 pm at the Clubhouse.
