Our irrigation pump system was installed in 2005 and is beginning to show its age. In the past few months, we have encountered situations where the system has been unable to keep up with demand, resulting in partial irrigation runs or low pressure. Unfortunately, this happened again last night.
Please be advised that the CDD Board has rebuilt pump #1 which is running great, and just replaced the motor in pump #2. Pump #3 is still running well, but we are keeping a close eye on it. We will also be replacing all of the piping in the pumphouse to eliminate leaks and improve efficiency. This project will take place in a few weeks when materials arrive. We will advise residents when this is scheduled. These major expenses will be covered by our Reserve Funds, which we accrue for this purpose.
